Do not get me wrong, the staff are great people. 1. BUT the way stein automotive conducts business is unacceptable. I recently have heard bad word of mouth from friends about this place but regardless I went anyway just to see myself. For one they ran diagnostics on my car and decide to charge me TWICE for the two problems I've had. I already knew what the problems were. I actually set one problem up in which I simply made the connection of the abs sensor a little dirty so it would not read right. Regardless of following the request of checking the connection, I am HIGHLY sure they just ran diagnostics actually checking the actual problem. 2. INSTEAD of fixing a small problem, they decided to to highly insist that the whole abs module is faulty which is a $1400 repair as they quoted me. 3. IN CONCLUSION, instead of following protocol and actually looking at the problem, they will insist that the whole system is faulty versus just what is actually broken. In the end of the day, follow word of mouth, the other reviews on here do not justify how this business actually is, and I hope the owners see this because charging me TWICE for diagnostics, selling me on something that is not even actually broken is unacceptable. Here is my word of advice, if you do not know the mechanics a vehicle that well, do not go here, actually do not go here AT ALL. ^ That statement is from me and along with 2 close family friends, 2 friends, and 2 other people in which have warned me about this place. I am a local that has lived here for over 18 years. Don't let the "cheaper than the dealership" sell you this place will SCREW YOU.
