I have been a customer of Springdale Automotive Barbour lane and Prospect store for the past few years now. I wanted to write you an email in regards to the exceptional customer service and overall experience I have had at Springdale. Over the last two years I have had an immense amount of trouble with my 2008 BMW 328i, not only is difficult to find a repair shop that is willing to work on it the expense of these repairs can be very costly. I am grateful for the expertise Springdale has provided in repairing my vehicle in a timely, honest manner. Brian Smith has gone above and beyond to help me with warranty claims, service and mechanical advice during each visit to both of these locations. I know I can trust him to give me a fair and honest quote, he has the knowledge and skills to explain how and why the repair is needed without seeming condescending or annoyed like I’ve had to deal with in the past. People like Brian and your other technicians are what keeps a business thriving. I will continue to use Springdale for all of my future vehicle needs and I have given glowing reviews to everyone I know.

I am a single mother with a busy schedule like most people, but I absolutely hate dealing with car repair. It usually is a very stressful situation for me but since I've started going to Springdale it has been a lot less stressful. Brian & Kenny are very helpful, they take the time to actually explain what I need and why. I LOVE the remodeled lobby by the way BEAUTIFUL !!!

Kenny and the staff at Springdale in Prospect have always made me feel like I was their first priority. They have always finished my car on time. They have always gotten me in for service as fast as any repair shop I have ever used. Kenny even goes out of his way to help my daughters when they have car questions as well.

I called the Westport Road on Wednesday morning as it was opening to see about having a new battery installed in a 14 Kia Soul+. On the phone I was immediately asked if I was sure it was the battery. I responded that I had it on a charger all night and it would not hold a charge so i was pretty certain that yes it was the battery. An hour or so later I drop the car off and let them know I need a new battery. An hour later I get a call telling me that yes, it needed a new battery and it would be $200 to which I responded yes I know and go ahead and put the battery in. I got a call at 1:00 that the car was ready to pick up. I picked it up the car and paid the $200 bill. $36.60 to test the electrical system which was unnecessary; $114.27 for the battery; $27.45 to install the battery; $7.13 for "job supplies"; $3.00 for "CC Processing"; $5.35 Environmental and $7.61 sales tax for a total of $201.41. I went to this location because it is close and convenient and with the intent that it could become our go to auto shop in the area. I should have gone to Sears! They would have charged near the same price for the battery; would have waived the testing charge with the purchase of the battery and installed it free right now with a special but otherwise would have cost 9.99. I could have installed a new battery myself from Autozone for $140 but I didn't have a ratchet extension long enough to get to the bolt holding the battery in place. I'll have the appropriate extension within the next two years before the battery warranty expires. I will say that the car is running with the new battery which I why I rated them fair but i will not be back at this store nor would i recommend them to anyone in the future.

Springdale Automotive was amazing to work with. Went in for an inspection for an older vehicle to see if it would still be road worthy or if it was time to replace it. They sent me a detailed file with problem areas that needed to be addressed along with pictures. A pleasure to work with.

They misdiagnose your car, charge you for it anyway, then threaten to sue you if you try to get your money back or leave a negative review on them. It WAS NOT Springdale when I wrote this. It was still Stein Automotive.

Rob we are under new ownership now. I apologize for all your past experiences. I can assure you that customers experience and satisfaction is a top priority at Stein Automotive.
